Beautiful beginning
so forgiven, young and
New
Shrouded virgin
of innocence
whispering white
Goodbyes
To past pain...
Goodbye to longing
and lacerated lonliness...
Farewell exhaustion
and festered fears
leave me now...
You have no place
Here
On the mantle of my
Hope
On the doorstep of my
Expectation
Leave me to revel
in this endless
Freedom...
To linger a little longer
On the edge of this
Change
This day
Labeled "mine"
And please
Just
let me be.
For I have found my
New beginning
Here...
Devoid of
You.
Forever

peeling onions gave me an excuse to cry.
I just love the purity of beginnings...so much endless possibility.

Several lines stood out beautifully, those two foremost. The emotion really comes through in this one; at the dawn of 2005, for the first time, I really did get the New Year vibe, so I can really feel the cadence of this piece.
